Part 1 - England Part 2 - Norway Part 3 - Norway
A view of Lysefjorden in the distance.  On the second day of our fjord trip, we decided to hike to the Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen), one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. Before we commence, another fjord picture.

The Pulpit Rock is famous for its vertical drop to the fjord below of 604 meters.  There are no fences between you and fjord down under, which makes jumping out rather tempting. A picture of the Pulpit Rock from above.  The plateau is approximately 25x25 meters.  A Norwegian man and an Austrian woman committed suicide together from the rock just after the start of the new millennium.  Apparently, they met each other online.   I guess it is a social thing to do on a date.

My father and yours truly on the edge of the Pulpit Rock. My sister looking down.

This is what the fjords can look like on a beautiful day. The hike to the Pulpit Rock also provides for some beautiful sights.
