| Ksamakura is located only
50 km south-south-west of Tokyo an is a popular attraction for people
looking to leave the city for a day. We arrived at Kita-Kamakura
station just before lunch, and were lucky to find a very nice lunch
restaurant nearby the station. |
The day was September 23, which was a national holiday in Japan. While the name of the restaurant was "Pooch", unfortunately they don't have a homepage that I can refer you to. |

| Kamakura is a former de
facto capital of Japan as it was the seat of the Shogunate and of the
Regency during the Kamakura Period. |
There are several historic
buildings in Kamakura, including The Kinpōzan Jōchi-ji (pictured above).
The main hall contains three images of Buddha, representing Amida, Shaka,
and Miroku (past, present, and future). |

| Your's truly outside the
main hall of Jōchi-ji, which founding dates back to 1283. |
This is another beautiful
building belonging to the Jōchi-ji. I visited the
exact same spot back in
2003, and I am glad to see that the place has not changed. |
