Still at Cape Manza, with Yuka getting proof that it is January 1, 2008. A picture of the ocean, I think indeed this was taken from our hotel room.

At Hedo-Misaki, or Cape Hedo, Yuka was excited to randomly meet Ishii Kouta of the Japanese comedy group "Yarusenasu".  He was there with some other Japanese comedians. Just by chance, we started driving on a remote forest road and came across this spectacular view from a suspension bridge.  Normally, you would expect to find thousands of Japanese tourists at a place like this, but I guess it is too remote for the tourist buses.

The minor forest road was somewhat of a tourist attraction in Okinawa, and it certainly made for a nice walk. The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium used to be the world's biggest, but is now number 2 following the opening of the Georgia Aquarium.
