Norwegian Prostitutes Making More Money

While purchasing sex became illegal at the beginning of the year, Dagbladet and VG are today reporting that prostitutes now are making more money than before the law went into effect.

It is interesting to note that the biggest supporters of free abortion also are the strongest opponents of the sex trade. While they claim that women should be allowed to decide what to do with their own bodies, this logic is apparently not applied to the sale of sexual services. Your mind has to be pretty twisted to think that selling sex is a more serious action than killing an unborn baby.

In other news, VG and Dagbladet are reporting that Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the prominent 82-year-old so-called "moderate" Islamic scholar, recently argued that Holocaust was brought upon the Jews as a punishment for their actions. Wikipedia lists several other controversial, or may I say crazy statements, made by this madman:

"Those misguided people cudgel their brains in finding out lame arguments that tend to give both males and females equal shares of inheritance."

“Allah imposed Hitler upon the Jews to punish them — and Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers.”

"All Muslim jurists agree that the apostate is to be punished. However, they differ regarding the punishment itself. The majority of them go for killing; meaning that an apostate is to be sentenced to death."

Islamic Council Norway has so far declined to distance themselves from Yusuf al-Qaradawi's statements, but they probably will once the political pressure gets strong enough. As an imam was caught on camera saying just a few years ago prior to recommending a girl to agree to female circumcision: "I am sure you'll understand, we Muslims must be careful with what we say here in Norway. It is not necessary to include too many in these matters. I myself, for instance, have two wives".

Dagbladet and VG are also reporting that two employees of Norway's postal agency have been hospitalized after handling mail addressed to the Israeli embassy. The letter was apparently mailed in Norway and police is now trying to determine what the letter contained.

Finally, VG is reporting that Norwegian terrorism supporters Mads Gilbert and Erik Fosse have been nominated for Norway's most prestigious prize in journalism. Very recently they were also awarded a prestigious prize from the The Freedom of Expression Foundation.

As I have mentioned previously, the crisis in Sri Lanka is receiving close to zero attention in Norway, most likely as none of the newspapers can afford to send a reporter to visit the area.

Hamas Stole Aid Intended for Gaza

According to The International Herald Tribune, "UN says Hamas stole aid intended for Gazans". Israel has been allowing approximately 200 truckloads of humanitarian aid into Gaza on a daily basis since the end of the campaign, though the article does not mention how much aid Egypt has allowed to pass through its borders.

Also, human rights groups have commented that an investigation of Hamas war crimes is not necessary as its actions constitute blatant war crimes not worthy of investigation.

The Norwegian tabloids VG & Dagbladet are ignoring these stories, and instead focus on a Norwegian politician that recently made a trip to the Gaza Strip and Israel. VG and Dagbladet also published articles on wreckage that needs to be removed from the Gaza Strip.

Currently, the crisis in Sri Lanka is getting zero coverage on the front pages of Dagbladet and VG. James Dunnigan posted an interesting article yesterday titled "Why Israel Is Special". He writes in the article about how approximately 300,000 people have been killed in fighting in Sudan during the last few years, around 5 million have died indirectly or directly as a result of the war in Congo during the last decade, and almost 100,000 have been killed in Sri Lanka during the last 25 years. Still, all the world's focus is on Israel and the "horrible" Jews, though the number of dead in the Israel-Arab conflict is relatively minimal compared to other conflicts. As he ends his essay; "Go Figure".

Update 1: VG has posted a small article covering an amnesty offered to the Tamil rebels by the government in Colombo. Dagbladet is still ignoring the Sri Lanka crisis, not to mention any stories stories from Africa. Instead, Dagbladet has posted a one-sided story (the sources are Al Jadeed og Al Jazeera) about a boat with emergency aid that was stopped on its way to Gaza. The ship is apparently trying to access Gaza without Israeli permission, and has several Palestinian activists onboard the ship. It seems the activists are more interested in media attention than they are in delivering the aid. Since it surely is not possible for them to ensure that the aid does not end up in the arms of Hamas, perhaps they ought to sail on to Sri Lanka?

UN School In Gaza Was Not Bombed

Following courageous reporting by Patrick Martin of The Globe and Mail, it has now been established that the UN school in Gaza was not bombed after all. Read more about his findings at Honest Reporting.

I am glad to see that the tabloid VG is covering the story, though they are not very willing to admit their error. The title simply reads "Israeli grenades killed 40 civilians outside of school, not inside".

While it is natural to question what 40 civilians were doing walking around outside the school perimeters, the big question is why the UN has not previously made public that the school was not shelled. For example, the UNRWA's operations director in Gaza condemned the attack and suggested Israel knew it was targeting a UN school simply because Israel had the GPS coordinates of all UN facilities in the area.

In other boring stories today, UPDF peacekeepers in Somalia have been accused of shooting and killing up to 40 civilians. Luckily we do not need to care as that is taking place in Africa. Also, Sri Lanka is continuing to shell hospitals and civilians, but Norwegian socialists (including madmen Mads Gilbert & Erik Fosse + disgraced diplomat Trine Lilleng) do not need to play outraged, but can sit back and relax as no Jews are involved.

Hospital Shelled in Sri Lanka

CNN reports that a hospital was shelled in Sri Lanka today, but big portions of the international community continue to ignore the conflict. The Norwegian tabloid newspaper VG ignores the Sri Lanka situation. Instead, they feature a story speculating that Hamas may agree to a temporary ceasefire. During the ceasefire, Hamas obviously wants to continue smuggling weapons into the Gaza Strip. Despite the talks of a ceasefire, Israel was today attacked by several more rockets fired from the Gaza Strip. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert commented that Israel will retaliate. It is ironic that Sri Lanka can freely fight terrorism without any international condemnation, while Israel is forced to sit back while being attacked on a daily basis.

VG completely ignored the Tamil demonstration in Oslo yesterday, perhaps because it was peaceful and therefore not newsworthy.

Update 1: Dagbladet and VG report that Israel retaliated against some Hamas terrorist targets on the Gaza Strip. Apparently no one was injured in the attack as people had been warned not to stay in buildings containing weapons. The tabloid newspaper VG goes on to claim that Hamas is ready for a ceasefire, but "the problem is that Israel on principle will not negotiate directly with Hamas". Most civilized countries would not negotiate with an antisemitic terrorist organization that wants to implement a fundamentalist gender apartheid regime, so I have (not surprisingly) no problem understanding Israel's position. Further down south, the Congo conflict continues to produce much higher human tolls than the conflict with Hamas, though Norway's tabloids are showing no interest.

Tamils Demonstrate In Oslo Without Help From The Socialists

Approximately 1000 Tamils protested in Oslo today against the alleged "carnage" and "genocide" in Sri Lanka. As normal, they are receiving zero support from the Norwegian public. Contrast that with Hamas, which support was sufficient to set Oslo on fire several days in January.

In the picture posted by Dagbladet, I can not see a single of the Norwegian & Pakistani idiots that recently rioted in Oslo in support for Hamas. As I have commented previously, Norwegian socialists stand on thin ground when they claim not to be antisemitic.

Please check out the below video from the pro-Hamas demonstration in Oslo on January 8:

Update 1: On March 24, VG and Dagbladet report that only 10 of the 194 individuals arrested in the violent demonstrations in Oslo will receive any form of punishment. This proves yet again that Norway should be the world's top destination for current and future criminals and terrorists. Even if you are extremely unlucky and end up in Norwegian prison, your accommodation will be better than most budget hotels and you should complain if your prison does not have a tennis court.

Google Search Is Broken

Google Search Error
While I expect that Google will have this error fixed pretty soon, right now Google is treating every site Internet site as being harmful. Just do any search, for example for "google", and every search entry will show with a warning saying: "This site may harm your computer".

If you click on the link, you are taken to a page stating that "This warning message appears with search results we've identified as sites that may install malicious software on your computer".

Actually, it seems like the issue got fixed while I was writing this, but the error has already gotten plenty of laughs. For example, check out this article in CNET.
