Norway Spending More Than Eritrea's GDP On 18,500 Immigrants
The average GDP per capita in Eritrea is $295, while over $100,000 is spent in one year on the average immigrant arriving in Norway. Could the money be better spent somewhere else?

Is Erik Solheim Naive?
According to the Norwegian leftist newspaper Dagbladet, BBC decided to interview Mr. Solheim after reading a translated version of an opinion piece that he wrote Dagbladet on Mars 27 this year. In the article, Solheim stated that: "I am proud that one of the hallmarks of Norway today is that we are nearly always willing to talk to everyone. This has given us a special role in a number of conflicts. Because we could talk to Hamas and were thus among the first to establish contact with the Palestinian National Unity Government, we have had unique access to the negotiations in the Middle East conflict. In Sri Lanka we were among the few who had contact with both the Tamil Tigers and the authorities. We met with the Nepalese Maoists before anyone else. Now the Maoists are represented in the national assembly and the Prime Minister is from their party. We talk to communist guerrillas in the Philippines, and have contact with rebel groups in Burundi and Sudan. When the parties in strife-torn Zimbabwe decide to establish a Government of National Unity we start a dialogue with all of them. The fact that we talk to someone doesn't mean that we agree with them on all issues. We take the opportunity to present our views".
In the BBC interview, Erik Solheim was asked whether his willingness to talk with all kinds of dictators and terrorists makes him a little naive, to which Erik Solheim responded that boycotts generally just make conditions worse.
To this statement, I would like to ask Mr. Solheim why he has singled out Israel as the only country in the world that he wishes to boycott. For some odd reason, Erik Solheim's political party (The Socialist Left Party) is willing to talk and trade with all terrorists and tyrants, but does not wish to have anything to do with the Jewish state of Israel.
Regarding his unsuccessful attempts to secure a peace deal in Sri Lanka, it would also be interesting to ask whether his efforts indirectly lead to the destruction of the Tamil Tigers. Finally, I would like to ask what efforts he is making to maintain a dialogue with the independence movements in occupied Kurdistan and Tibet.

Might As Well Give Asylum To Nazis
While there are not many Nazis around anymore, I assume Norway will be equally welcoming to war criminals from other parts of the world. In my May 17 blog entry, I commented on a former Taliban health minister that has been living on welfare in Norway since 2001. During this time, he has established his own terrorist network in between beating up his young daughters.
While the Nazis are mainly gone, the Taliban are unfortunately going strong in different parts of the world. Check out this March 2009 video from CNN:

Taliban Terrorist Living On Welfare In Norway For 8 Years
When not beating up his daughters or preaching in the mosque, the former health minister has been leading an informal terrorist group in Oslo consisting of 20+ men. Luckily The Norwegian Security Service has been on their case for quite some time. I want to take this opportunity to thank Norwegian taxpayers for providing a livelihood for this great man during the last 8 years.

Jewish Graves Desecrated In Oslo

While the case is receiving limited coverage in the Norwegian media, VG and TV2 report that several Jewish graves in Oslo have been desecrated with Nazi symbols and other messages (picture is by Tom Bob Peru Aronsen of NrK). One message states that "The war is not over", whatever that might mean.
Jews were not allowed to enter Norway until 1851, and almost half the Jews that entered Norway thereafter were killed during the Second World War. I have previously written extensively on anti-Israeli sentiment in Norway, but this should not be confused with the outright racism that is behind the grave desecrations in Oslo.

Norwegian Female Of The Year
Instead of letting the rather embarrassing story slide into obscurity, Marie Høglund this week appears in Norway's largest gossip magazine to explain her version of the story. According to Marie, she is embarrassed and wants to apologize to both her family and her new boyfriend. After having thought about the issue for a while, her magnificent brain came to the conclusion that appearing in the media would be the best way to do so.While it is easy to laugh at this story, it very well could have ended in a tragedy. The driver of the car, Martin Seland Kjelsås, has not surprisingly commented that he had problems driving while Marie was sitting on top of him. He should be lucky to have lost just his driver's license, though it can be argued that Marie should loose her license as well. After all, she jumped on top of him, not the other way around.

Muhammad Youssef al-Najjar Responsible For Munich Massacre
Accidentally, the son of Muhammad Youssef Al-Najjar is the current Palestinian "ambassador" to Norway. The VG article notes that the ambassador, Yasser al-Najjar, was present when his father was killed by Israeli security forces in 1973. Simply translated, the VG article states that:
"Najjar is the son of the Palestinian activist Abu Yousef al-Najjar. In 1973 he was an eyewitness when an Israeli death squadron stormed his family's apartment, killing both his parents".
If VG were interested in presenting the facts, the paragraph should read: "Najjar is the son of the Palestinian terrorist Abu Yousef al-Najjar. In 1973 he was an eyewitness when an Israeli anti-terrorist squad stormed his family's apartment. Both his parents died in the subsequent gunfire".
Dagbladet has also published this article, which was originally written by The Norwegian News Agency (a wire service that serves many of the largest Norwegian media outlets).

Norwegian Lawyers Should Rather Sue Their Own Government
The six Norwegian lawyers should be able to keep themselves busy if they intend to sue any foreign national that potentially has committed crimes against the vague concept of "international law". In order to relieve themselves of this burden, the lawyers have decided to single out a limited number of Jewish politicians, though their decision obviously has nothing to do with anti-semitism. It is simply a pure coincidence that they have chosen to focus only on Jewish individuals.
With the logic they are using, perhaps the lawyers should also sue their own government for complicity in the killing of civilians in Afghanistan. Norway has had military forces in Afghanistan for quite some time, and Norwegians are certainly indirectly or directly responsible for some of the civilian deaths that have occurred during the last few years.

Iran Is An Apartheid Regime
While countries such as Canada & the United States are refusing even to participate in the conference, most other democratic countries have sent low level delegates. Norway, a tiny country of just over 4 million souls, has instead decided to join the dictators and thugs at the conference in order to engage in "dialogue". Neville Chamberlain would have been pleased.
The Norwegian foreign minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, is actually a rarity in the current Norwegian government in that he is not a fool. Most likely his hands have been tied by the far-left Socialist Left Party, which is part of the coalition government currently ruling Norway.
In either event, it is ironic that Holocaust-denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is even allowed to address a conference on racism. Iran's treatment of women is similar in many ways to the treatment of blacks under South-Africa's apartheid regime, and human rights abuses are a daily occurrence. Amnesty International reports on a wide range of human rights abuses:
"large-scale arrests, incommunicado detention and torture--have taken place in the context of recent unrest among the country's Arab and Kurdish and Azeri ethnic minorities. Demonstrations held to protest violations have been met with indiscriminate use of violence; several of the victims have been children. Religious minority communities--including Bahais and Muslims practicing Sufism, have also been faced increased persecution in recent months. In recent months, the Iranian authorities have been carrying out a widespread crackdown on civil society, targeting academics, women's rights activists, students, journalists and labor organizers. Hundreds of trade union activists--in particular activists from the Union of Workers of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company were arrested as part of measures to prevent planned strikes. Lawyers, web loggers and others who have spoken out against human rights violations have themselves been targeted for abuse".
Jonas Gahr Støre is wasting his time by discussing human rights issues with thugs like Mr. Ahmadinejad. Perhaps his time could be spent more constructively in a different location, say Sri Lanka?
Dagbladet is covering the UN story in several articles (1, 2, 3, 4) and so is VG (1, 2).

100% Of Rapes In Oslo Committed By Foreigners
In a related story, VG reports that an Egyptian man is having his Norwegian citizenship rescinded after he was convicted of raping and attempted rapes of 8 different women in Oslo, one of whom later committed suicide. Interestingly, the man was originally granted asylum in Norway due to him being homosexual and therefore at risk of being killed in Egypt. While he apparently lived together with a Norwegian man, at the same time he managed to father three children with two different Norwegian women.
Living with one guy and sleeping with two Norwegian women would normally be sufficient to keep any man busy. However, this Egyptian guy also managed to rape 5 women, attempted to rape three other women, and to top it all of also had sexual relations with a girl under the age of 16. The police is calling him one of the worst rapists of all time in Norway.
While prostitution was made illegal in Norway at the beginning of the year, Norwegian politicians probably want to rethink this decision. Perhaps the solution to the rape situation in Norway would be to get the prostitutes back on the street. Upon arrival to Norway, new immigrants could get discounted or free prostitution vouchers to use while in the country. Or perhaps it would be more politically correct to teach new immigrants how to pick up women in night clubs. Some free drink coupons and pick up lines would perhaps do the trick. Giving them a free copy of The Game probably would not hurt either.

Random Street Violence In Oslo
Dagbladet reports that police managed to arrest one of the criminal group members, who perhaps will get to spend a couple of paid weeks in a comfortable Norwegian prison (read: budget hotel) with access to cable-TV, exercise equipment, and porn.
Update 1: VG has published an article with some more details. There were a total of three armed robberies in Oslo on Saturday night, and hand weapons were used in each incident. Apparently five African immigrants have been arrested. It seems like the police has dealt with all of them previously, and you can expect the criminals to be back on the street shortly.
Spring is in the air and Oslo should soon be heaven for current and future criminals. The risk of getting caught is minimal and the potential rewards are huge. Even if you are arrested, your stay in jail will be short and comfortable.

4000 Missing Norwegian Children
According to Wikipedia, there are almost 20,000 Somalis living in Norway. They are among the least integrated of all immigrants. Of Somalis that have lived more than 7 years in Norway, only 34% are currently employment. Norway's welfare system is quite generous due to the country's tremendous oil revenues, and despite almost zero unemployment there are many people (Norwegians as well as immigrants) that choose to live of welfare benefits rather than to work.
While I have not seen any recent figures, in 2003 there were 864 criminal incidents involving Somalis (at the time only 15,586 Somalis were living in Norway). In 2002, 5.1% of Somalis living in Norway were found guilty of criminal acts (only beaten by Ghanaians at 7%, compared with an average of 1.35% for the general population).
It is important to note that the Somali immigrants should not be blamed for the above circumstances. The failure is entirely with the immigration policies of the Norwegian government. However, it makes you wonder how much money has been wasted due to Norway's poor integration policies, not to mention the human costs involved. The most innocent victims are unfortunately the children who are sent back to the countries that their parents came from, and shame on the Norwegian government for allowing it to happen.

Norwegian Newspapers Misinterpreting The Jerusalem Post
While the article by Maya Spitzer focuses on a wide range of issues and examples of recent anti-Semitism in Norway, the Norwegian papers are focusing exclusively on the following paragraph:
"During the war, Olso was fraught with violent anti-Israel demonstrations. Numerous government officials decried Israel's actions in Gaza - including Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen, who led a march shouting, "Death to the Jews!" Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert, who worked in Gaza and disseminated stories about Israel's brutality, became a national hero in the Norwegian media".
It is the first sentence that is the subject of discussion, basically as it can be interpreted that Finance Minister Halvorsen herself shouted "Death to the Jews". While Kristin Halvorsen represents a political party that has an intense hatred of Israel (due to a mixture of anti-colonialism and anti-Semitism), the Socialist Left Party, Ms. Halvorsen never shouted racist slogans. However, the anti-Israeli demonstration on January 10, 2009, had a strong Anti-semitic element. In the picture, Kristin Halvorsen (the blonde woman in the left of the picture) is posing next to a poster saying "USA and Israel the biggest axis of evil". Your head needs to pretty messed up to think that the USA and Israel are more "evil" than countries like Saudi-Arabia, Iran, North-Korea, to take just a few examples. The demonstration led by Finance Minister Halvorsen ultimately culminated in an attack on the Israeli embassy, after which 100 individuals were arrested (almost all have later been released due to Norway's broken judicial system). Please enjoy a video from the January 10 demonstration below (consider it a Norwegian version of the Planet of the Apes):
Ironically, when the conflict in Sri-Lanka erupted shortly thereafter, despite a much higher civilian toll it was ignored by both the Norwegian media and people. Of the hundreds of countries in the world, the only nation that the Socialist Left Party wants to boycott is Israel.
By the way, for a good laughter, check out Kristin Halvorsen's background to see what it takes to become finance minister in Norway:
"After taking some university courses in pedagogy (1,5 years) and criminology (1 year) without receiving a degree, Halvorsen worked for a while as a legal secretary".
That is it. That is all. Then again, thanks to its oil revenue, Norway could probably install a real monkey as finance minister (not just a human version) and still do ok.
Dagbladet has three articles on this story: 1, 2, 3. VG has also covered the story.

Norwegian Prostitutes Making More Money
It is interesting to note that the biggest supporters of free abortion also are the strongest opponents of the sex trade. While they claim that women should be allowed to decide what to do with their own bodies, this logic is apparently not applied to the sale of sexual services. Your mind has to be pretty twisted to think that selling sex is a more serious action than killing an unborn baby.
In other news, VG and Dagbladet are reporting that Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the prominent 82-year-old so-called "moderate" Islamic scholar, recently argued that Holocaust was brought upon the Jews as a punishment for their actions. Wikipedia lists several other controversial, or may I say crazy statements, made by this madman:
"Those misguided people cudgel their brains in finding out lame arguments that tend to give both males and females equal shares of inheritance."
“Allah imposed Hitler upon the Jews to punish them — and Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers.”
"All Muslim jurists agree that the apostate is to be punished. However, they differ regarding the punishment itself. The majority of them go for killing; meaning that an apostate is to be sentenced to death."
Islamic Council Norway has so far declined to distance themselves from Yusuf al-Qaradawi's statements, but they probably will once the political pressure gets strong enough. As an imam was caught on camera saying just a few years ago prior to recommending a girl to agree to female circumcision: "I am sure you'll understand, we Muslims must be careful with what we say here in Norway. It is not necessary to include too many in these matters. I myself, for instance, have two wives".
Dagbladet and VG are also reporting that two employees of Norway's postal agency have been hospitalized after handling mail addressed to the Israeli embassy. The letter was apparently mailed in Norway and police is now trying to determine what the letter contained.
Finally, VG is reporting that Norwegian terrorism supporters Mads Gilbert and Erik Fosse have been nominated for Norway's most prestigious prize in journalism. Very recently they were also awarded a prestigious prize from the The Freedom of Expression Foundation.
As I have mentioned previously, the crisis in Sri Lanka is receiving close to zero attention in Norway, most likely as none of the newspapers can afford to send a reporter to visit the area.

Hamas Stole Aid Intended for Gaza
Also, human rights groups have commented that an investigation of Hamas war crimes is not necessary as its actions constitute blatant war crimes not worthy of investigation.
The Norwegian tabloids VG & Dagbladet are ignoring these stories, and instead focus on a Norwegian politician that recently made a trip to the Gaza Strip and Israel. VG and Dagbladet also published articles on wreckage that needs to be removed from the Gaza Strip.
Currently, the crisis in Sri Lanka is getting zero coverage on the front pages of Dagbladet and VG. James Dunnigan posted an interesting article yesterday titled "Why Israel Is Special". He writes in the article about how approximately 300,000 people have been killed in fighting in Sudan during the last few years, around 5 million have died indirectly or directly as a result of the war in Congo during the last decade, and almost 100,000 have been killed in Sri Lanka during the last 25 years. Still, all the world's focus is on Israel and the "horrible" Jews, though the number of dead in the Israel-Arab conflict is relatively minimal compared to other conflicts. As he ends his essay; "Go Figure".
Update 1: VG has posted a small article covering an amnesty offered to the Tamil rebels by the government in Colombo. Dagbladet is still ignoring the Sri Lanka crisis, not to mention any stories stories from Africa. Instead, Dagbladet has posted a one-sided story (the sources are Al Jadeed og Al Jazeera) about a boat with emergency aid that was stopped on its way to Gaza. The ship is apparently trying to access Gaza without Israeli permission, and has several Palestinian activists onboard the ship. It seems the activists are more interested in media attention than they are in delivering the aid. Since it surely is not possible for them to ensure that the aid does not end up in the arms of Hamas, perhaps they ought to sail on to Sri Lanka?

Tamils Demonstrate In Oslo Without Help From The Socialists
In the picture posted by Dagbladet, I can not see a single of the Norwegian & Pakistani idiots that recently rioted in Oslo in support for Hamas. As I have commented previously, Norwegian socialists stand on thin ground when they claim not to be antisemitic.
Please check out the below video from the pro-Hamas demonstration in Oslo on January 8:
Update 1: On March 24, VG and Dagbladet report that only 10 of the 194 individuals arrested in the violent demonstrations in Oslo will receive any form of punishment. This proves yet again that Norway should be the world's top destination for current and future criminals and terrorists. Even if you are extremely unlucky and end up in Norwegian prison, your accommodation will be better than most budget hotels and you should complain if your prison does not have a tennis court.

Infanticide In Stavanger May Help Reduce Crime?
The timing of when a human life begins is in many countries legislated by law. On one day you are considered a fetus and terminable, on the following day you may be considered a human being with full legal rights. Canada, for instance, places "no restrictions on the provision of abortion whatsoever". Legally speaking, and please correct me if I am wrong, in Canada you can terminate your pregnancy until the day of birth, but you are considered a murderer if you kill the baby a few hours later (after birth). This raises some interesting moral questions.
In the case of Norway, which does have various restrictions with regard to abortion:
1. If abortion is simply a question of a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body, why doesn't Norway allow women to sell sexual services?
2. If abortion is simply a question of the woman's right to choose what to do with her own body, why not do as Canada and impose zero restrictions?
3. As Nassim Taleb writes in "The Black Swan": "Why those who favor allowing the elimination of a fetus in the mother's womb also oppose capital punishment?"
Norway's tabloids VG & Dagbladet are making a big deal about a newborn baby that was found dead covered in a blanket in a residential area in the city of Stavanger.
It is interesting that the death of this baby makes such a huge story. In Norway it is legal to abort a baby until the 18th week of pregnancy, and is also allowed under special circumstances thereafter. Approximately 15,000 abortions are performed in Norway each year.
Some babies can survive if born after 24 weeks of pregnancy, though some sources claim that babies can survive after 22 and 23 weeks as well. In other words, we are talking about a minor difference of a few weeks. If 15,000 babies are terminated during pregnancy each year, I can't see the logic behind making such a big deal about one baby being killed off a little bit late.
Update 1: VG reports that a register will be established in Rogaland to track recent pregnancies and births. Hopefully this will enable the police to determine who's the mother of the baby that was found. It is possible that the baby was alive when dropped off.
