On the third day, we went on a trip to Mariudo-no-taki.  To get there, you first need to get up a really beautiful river by boat. Another nice picture.  Yes, so nice.

 

I believe you can see the waterfall in the background of this picture. Finally, a landscape picture of Mariudo-no-taki.  It surely was beautiful, though you do not get much of a view of it from the trail.

 

Just a few minutes on foot from Mariudo-no-taki, we found another small waterfall.  I was excited to find a couple of water holes that looked really tempting. Yes, the water holes were so tempting that I actually decided to make a go for it.  Tons of Japanese tourists arrived a bit afterwards, but no one decided to dip in.  In Japan, the calendar is followed religiously, and a Naha cab driver told us that tourists from Tokyo will wear jackets in November regardless of the weather.  As November is considered a "cold month", the actual temperature does not seem to be of any relevance.
