Trip to Fukuoka!
- August 2-4, Kyushu

Forrest in Fukuoka tower Forrest and Sayoko
Forrest can here be seen in the top of Fukuoka tower, where you can get a great view of Kyushu's administrative capital.  As we were in Fukuoka as student judges for the Asian Pacific Speech Contest, we did not have to pay to get there :)  This picture was taken outside the tower, and Forrest is joined by Sayoko, a student of radiology (mainly involves listening to radio stations) at a university in Kanazawa.  As she is a native Fukuoka babe, she was less surprised than us to see that there are several McDonalds in Fukuoka.

Forrest and Sayoko Dazaifu Temple
Here we have another picture that looks almost identical to the previous one.  The only purpose of including it is to bore the living daylight out of anyone visiting this page. In Fukuoka, we also went to Dazaifu Temple.  It is supposed to attract students from all over Japan, as the temple is supposed to contribute to the mental development needed for scholastic success.  I guess I should have gone before graduating.

Eating something We are happy
Forrest and yours truly took the time to eat some crazy Fukuokan dish.  In fact, I have forgotten what is was and how it tasted, but I think the information would have been very useful if I had remembered it. Okay, the book "Jan And His Women" is only in the making, yet here is a brief preview.  Actually, these girls were just fellow student judges.  From my side on the left, we have Ayumi, Sonoko, Kazune, Sayoko, and finally Ayumi sitting down by the table.

Happy people Speech Contest
Another picture of happy people.  We have here been joined by Forrest, Mari, Nahoko, and Yuki. Here a picture from inside the "5th Asia Pacific Cup", where high school students from all over Asia compete in delivering English speeches.  An annoying girl from India ended up winning, otherwise it was a nice experience.
